Good all around except the fact they have their own rules about buying firearms. Went in to buy 7mag Remington 700 on AR platform for my son September 29. Everything checked out. Paid half on rifle and put in layaway already passing back ground check. 13 days later went to pay remaining 95 dollar balance to find out the weapon had been placed on hold not by the firearms act or government but buy Wal Mart themselves. Never have I had to deal with such bull. I have no felonies no dishonorable discharge and never a domestic disturbance so why the hold? Also they have 30 days instead of the norm 3 day max waiting period. Go anywhere else to buy your firearms and ammunition people. I was trying to buy my sons birthday present for Halloween not act a damn fool. We're avid hunters and fishermen that have been denied basic constitutional rights. The right to keep and bear arms. What happened to that???
It's a very decent Walmart. Not the best, not even close to being the worst. Definitely suggest using the online grocery pick-up.
The staff took a little while to come to the paint dept after I asked someone to page them, but hey it's Christmas! They were polite and attentive, but unable to meet my need. Apparently, the paint which we purchased two years ago off the shelf is no longer available in this store or any other store within 30 miles, nor can it be order online. Also, apparently, neither is the base available for using with the matching machine and cannot be ordered by the store in Olive Branch, MS, even by the store manager, according to the staff. It seems Walmart stores can only sell what they have, no longer can they order anything, at least in the paint dept. I was referred to a competitor who provided what I needed. Happy holidays.
Everything you expect Walmart to be with I've exception. The people in the photo shop seemed to actually care. That's right you heard it (or read it actually) they works ask frequently of I needed any help (which me being a man of course I didn't) . This was refreshing for a Walmart.
I love going to Wal-Mart in Olive Branch, Mississippi they have almost everything needed to run a household. Great Value Brands in the Food Dept. have a great taste and more for your money. Also the Deli and Bakery Dept. are always great if I order something in advance or just to get something at the last minute for a family gathering they have it. All of the employees are very nice and helpful. I'm one very pleased customer.
