Called another plumber and he had the problem fixed from start to finish in less than 20 minutes.

Over 2 hours went by with no contact from the company. I called them and the woman who answered the phone said "He can't find the part. He might not be able to fix it." I waited 3 more hours and called back at 2:00 p.m. She said he had gone on another service call and probably wouldn't be able to fix it. I told her I was going to call someone else who knew what they were doing and told her that she should have called me to let me the know the situation.
And, the woman who answers the phone doesn't appear to know that the bare minimum for acceptable customer service is to keep your customers informed. I would drown before I ever called this company again.
This company is much much worse. What this guy did is cut up some of the root and stopped before the job was finished. Leaving a wood blocked main hoping for more work. Get this talked to the owner same line and stated for $450 more would cut the roots out.
But
We have had very good service from Payne Plumbing, including repairs to poor work from Greenway. They have been punctual, professional, and when one part was needed, went to get it in Memphis and returned the same day. We have used their services from 2015 to present.
No tools to the the job right. Charged $180 I recied nothing. No fix No prospect of repair. Just a simple conjob and promises to charge $2500 on the next visit. Ya know I consider myself lucky to get this guy/company off my property without the cops getting involved.
I know this plumber from Payne had to be licensed. It is inconceivable to me he didn't know how to fix something so simple.
I'm still in shock at the extremely poor level of service I got today (9/2/2014). Plumber arrived at 8:45 a.m. to repair a leaking dishwasher line. He took a couple of seconds to look at the problem with his flashlight and said he would have to go look for parts.
The second plumber from the other company almost fell on the floor laughing when I told him what the Payne plumber said and did. If I hadn't had a witness, I doubt he would have believed me. He said it was one of the simplest plumbing problems to repair and would be something he could tell his grandchildren. (His exact words.)
