This was my second time eating here since it's been open. The first time was to go and today me and my daughters dined in. Let me tell you the service was great and the food was wonderful. If your looking for home style food Mike's family restaurant is the go to place! 5 star food and service! I'll definitely be making this place a regular place to dine. The country fried steak is to die for and so was the chicken & dressing.
This was our second time to give this place another try as our first one was was less than satisfactory when, after waiting an extremely long time for our food, we saw our server leave the restaurant with someone we later learned was the manager who had asked him to take care of something else while he should have completed his service to us.

We had really hoped our second experience would be great, as we want to support our local businesses, but it was not. We will not be back.
Poop all over the men's room floor! Country fried steak was pretty good and so was the chicken tenders. Everything else was plain nasty! Will not be returning! Will be going to sweet peas new local! Our waitress was sweet though!
Sadly, our second experience was one in which we were about to leave for the lengthy wait again for our meal. In placing our order, I was told there would be a $.99 up charge for choosing a baked potato with my meal even though the menu clearly stated a baked potato could take the place of 2 vegetables. No additional charge was shone on the menu. The squash casserole, the “feature” vegetable was served cold and was horrible-not fresh.
Was there on Tuesday. We had to ask for silverware, napkins and straws. Nothing to put the bread on. My sister was disappointed in the meatloaf being drowned in Sauce. She sent it back and got something else. We wanted something to go, the server told us we would have to go to the cashier and order it. My sister unable to stand for very long. The server should be able to take a to go order. The fish and onion rings were good.
