The lack of compassion and empathy is truly remarkable. I went to put my rat to sleep on Saturday (11/11/17) and we were in the waiting room longer than it took to put her down. I felt rushed and that my sadness was an inconvenience to the staff. The actual process of putting her down is a whole other story. Firstly, they didn't allow us time to say goodbye hardly and process the situation. Dr. Cox came into the room very abruptly and gave her the muscle relaxer and about 10 mins later came back flipped her over in her side (to rough for my liking) and proceeded to give her the actual euthanasia shot. Flipped her over again (to rough for my liking) whipped a coin out of his pocket and laid it down next to her and took pictures. WITHOUT permission!! If he would have asked I would have said yes because I understand why he would want them but he didn't ask at all he just did it and straight after she was dead. We had no time to grieve. Since he is up there in age, as old people tend to do he accidently took a video instead. To my horror upon his realization of this mistake he and a vet tech giggled about it right in front of me. After all this he again handled her roughly and stuffed her in the box I had brought along for her. Dr. Cox is extremely rude and basically humiliated my pet after she was gone. Do not go to this vet unless you really don't care about your pets. I know Dr cox is the only exotic vet in the area which is truly unfortunate. If I could rate lower I would. He does not deserve a 1 star.
Our highest recommendation for Dr. Lynn Cox and all his people there at All Animal Hospital in Olive Branch. They worked us in the day we called and correctly diagnosed our cockatiel quickly. He hand made the medication and did several tests all at a reasonable price. My bird was literally on death's doorstep and he made a quick turnaround. Dr. Cox even offered up a prayer for Stormy and I'll never forget how God answered that prayer so kindly. Thank you all for your expert help with our very old and loved bird.
Great people work here with excellent care for our pets (family members)! I have three babies and they enjoy their time here with all the attention allotted to them for care. I am very pleased to have found a wonderful place!
We love the doctors and staff at All Animal Hospital. Great service, great attitude, very clean waiting room and exam rooms. And I really appreciate the care and attention shown to our pets, dogs and cats. Dr. Cox always explains and discusses the care plan we need for each pet. Plus we get follow up calls at home after surgery/procedures to check on pets. A big "Thank You" to All Animal Hospital for all you do for us!
